Golf cart and Vatican Museum

Rome through the eyes of Romans by Golf Cart, with the addition of a visit to the Vatican Museums with personal guide. We’ll skip the line to make you fall in love with Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel and the mother of all churches: St. Peter’s Basilica.

We will pick you up at your hotel or accommodation.

The first part of the tour will be dedicated to discovering the hidden gems of Rome: the alleys with their courtyards, the squares with the sixteenth-century buildings and their glorious gates. This is were Romans live, right in the historic center. We will visit the “veins” of the Urbe (ancient name of the city) where only our Golf Cart can drive, far from the typical chaos of the metropolis.

During the Golf Cart tour, we’re going to drive along via dei Coronari, one of the most beautiful street of the historic center with its small antique stores, squares and fountains. We arrive at the ancient market of Campo dei Fiori, the only one left in the historic center. From the market, walking through the typical alleys of the city, we will meet the old medieval tower of Mellini, the only perfectly preserved tower in the historic center. We arrive at one of the most beautiful squares in Rome: Piazza Navona, a 17th century masterpiece, modeled and decorated by the master Gianlorenzo Bernini, author of the most beautiful fountains in Rome.

Next stop the Pantheon, the only Roman temple perfectly preserved. You’ll feel like stepping back in ancient Rome and you will be amazed by its dome still perfectly intact after 2800 years. From the Pantheon we will cut through the historic center driving in the historic part of Rome, away from the traffic, between alleys, small streets and beautiful buildings, fountains and gates, until we reach piazza di Spagna, the most beautiful staircase there is, another masterpiece of Bernini.

We’re going to visit the Fontana della Barcaccia and Via Condotti, the most important shopping street in Rome. We will savor the atmosphere of this particular square. Obviously we won’t forget to visit the Trevi Fountain that we reach from Piazza di Spagna in 10 minutes. The majesty of the fountain will leave you speechless. You can throw your coins into the water and make a wish. We can obviously help you to take a picture in front of the most famous fountain in Rome.

After the fountain we drive to the biggest square of the city, Piazza Venezia, and then we’ll reach the Colle Capitolino, from where we could admire the view of the Fori di Romam, the center of the political life of ancient Rome. You will see the Senate, the Colosseum and the Imperial House, in short, an explosion of beauty that makes Rome the eternal city.

We will then move to the anfiteatro Marcello and the famous Circo Massimo, until we reach the symbol of Rome in the world: the Colosseum. The location chosen is fantastic to enjoy the entire view of the Colosseum. You will be free to take all the pictures you want and walk near the historic building.

It will be lunch time and the choices are many: a piece of Roman pizza or a local restaurant with an appetizer and a first course. We can choose even at the last moment where to go.

Private Vatican Museum Tour , Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica Experience

After lunch, we drive you to meet our guide at the Vatican Museums, she will be waiting for us with a fantastic smile and full of energy. You will skip the line thanks to our organization. The guide will be at your complete service and will be attentive to your questions, flexible, in case you are tired, to take a break. She will guide you through the collections of the Museum until you arrive at the beautiful Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. The guide will explain the frescoes, the life of the artist and many small curiosities. From the Sistine Chapel she will take you to the St. Peter’s Basilica and show you St. Peter’s tomb, Michelangelo’s Pietà (another worldwide known masterpiece) and of course the Dome, Gianlorenzo Bernini‘s Baldachin and much more. Last stop: St. Peter’s Square. (The visit to the Vatican Museums is private and does not include other people besides you and your group).

St. Peter’s Square will open up before your eyes as you exit the Basilica, where you will be free to take as many photos as you wish.

At this point the tour is over, our guide will suggest you the Vatican stores for some souvenirs or simply a bar where you can have something to drink. Alternatively, she will guide you to the cab to return to your hotel.
